Nutritional Health at OLE
Good nutrition and proper diet are key to good health but maintaining a healthy diet or accessing nutritious foods can be challenging. Our team of registered dietitians, registered nurses, and certified diabetes educators provide clear and complete information for patients of all ages and dietary needs.
We want you to take an active role in identifying things that may have kept you from accessing healthy foods. Then, we can work with you to make a plan that helps you meet your long-term health, food, and nutrition needs.

OLE Health Garden and Teaching Kitchen
Our South Napa Campus located at 300 Hartle Court has a 3,400-square-foot community garden. The garden was made possible through the generosity of donors, including Darioush Khaledi. It provides a space where you can learn how to grow and harvest food, work with seasonal ingredients, and get a little physical activity caring for the plants. Our monthly free community event, Garden with the Masters, with our partners, the UC Master Gardeners of Napa County, provides instruction to our patients and community.
Ingredients from the garden, as well as from our other community partners, are used in our teaching kitchen, where we show you how to prepare healthy, seasonal dishes with an eye toward cultural diets and preferences.
Learn more about classes and educational events and find recipes and videos on how to prepare seasonal foods.
Food Assistance
If you have a hard time getting access to fruits, veggies, and other whole foods, OLE Health has resources to help you. In Napa, we partner with Community Action Napa Valley to distribute fresh produce monthly at our Pear Tree Lane and Calistoga clinics. Food distributions are the third Friday of every month:

CalFresh
CalFresh is a state government program that provides money to pay for nutritious food for those who qualify. This extra money can be used to buy food at grocery stores, farmer’s markets, and even online for groceries from certain retailers.
CalFresh dollars can be used on almost any food item with very few restrictions. The amount of support available varies based on household size and income, and OLE Health can help you learn if you’re eligible and apply if you are.
To learn more about enrolling in CalFresh or health coverage, call (707) 254-1777 and request an appointment with an enrollment specialist.
