My approach to care
My care philosophy is meeting my patients where they are at. I believe my role is to educate and offer a buffet of options patients can choose from based on their cultural beliefs and personal desires. I remind my patients that my expertise is translating the science of medicine, and their expertise is knowing their body. I believe the art of medicine is knowing the appropriate options to put on the buffet.
Why I went into healthcare
I became a Family Medicine provider because I wanted to offer full scope primary care across the entire age spectrum, in the context of a family unit. I participate in newborn rounding in the hospital, I provide preventative care for children and adolescents, reproductive health care, transgender care, chronic disease management, medication assisted treatment and advanced-care planning. I also perform minor procedures. I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with my patients and their families.
Something you might not know about me
I love traveling, backpacking, paddle boarding, and spending time in my garden. I have one husband, two children and five chickens.
