About Max
Max Madrigal started at CommuniCare+OLE in 2017. He received a Master’s degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010 and completed his undergraduate degree at University of California, Santa Barbara in 1999. Prior to coming to CommuniCare+OLE, Max Madrigal worked as a community-based organizer, coordinated clinical research trials at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and later University of California, Los Angeles. He specialized in Early Childhood Mental Health for several years, first introduced to this area of Mental Health as a graduate intern at the UC San Francisco’s Child Trauma Research Program in 2009. Max specializes in Trauma-Focused therapy, Parent/Child Psychotherapy, Dialectic Behavioral and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Anxiety and Stress Management, as well as other therapeutic modalities and intervention approaches to help Patient’s improve their quality of life.

My approach to care is primarily focused facilitating the explorative process.
Why I went into healthcare
I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker because of my previous community-based work as a health educator, HIV/AIDS crisis counseling and intervention, grass-roots organizer, and clinical research trials conducted with diverse populations in Los Angeles County.
Something you might not know about me
I am trained in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and have an undergraduate degree in Art Studio-Black/White Photography.
