Renee Bassett, ASW
About Renee
Renee Bassett started at CommuniCare+OLE in December 2020. She earned her LCSW in April, 2023, received her Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento in 2017, and completed her Bachelor’s in Social Work from California State University, San Jose in 2013. Prior to coming to CommuniCare+OLE, Renee managed a Napa local pizza restaurant for two years while volunteering counseling and case management services at a continuation high school. She has been practicing Social Work since 2010. She has worked in hospice, child welfare, foster care, within schools, at health clinics, etc. Renee specializes in drug and alcohol use disorders, postpartum depression/anxiety, depression with suicidal ideation, anxiety with panic, sleep disorders, grief, end-of-life issues, coping with lifestyle change issues/new medical diagnosis’, etc.
My approach to care
My care philosophy is positive and motivating, with a patient centered approach.
Why I went into healthcare
I became a social worker/therapist because I want to help people, being a positive pilar in my community, and serve wonderful people.
Something you might not know about me
I was a competitive and college soccer player, I play the cello, I love to walk my dogs, and I am a mother to one baby girl.
