Each year OLE Health hosts several farmworker health fairs at locations throughout Napa County to support the health of those who ensure the economic vitality of our community. Years of experience have taught us that too often those who need health care the most have the most trouble accessing it. To address this disparity, OLE Health in collaboration with Queen of the Valley CARE Network and other community partners we provide important, culturally sensitive on-site community health fairs, offering such services as:
Health Screenings:
· Blood pressure
· Cholesterol
· Blood sugar
· Height & Weight
Free on-site consultations:
· Medical consultations with health providers
Behavioral Health Services
· Follow-up appointments if needed
On March 14th and 15th we provided health screenings, health presentations, and resource fair to Walsh Vineyard Management. We saw approximately 255 employees.
Partners for this event include: OLE Health, Queen of the Valley CARE Network, Napa Valley College, Napa County Public Health, Kaiser Permanente, Touro University (Pharmacy), Napa County Mental Health, Napa County Alcohol and Drug Services, Citizenship and Legal Services, Napa Valley Community Housing, NEWS, Napa County Self-Sufficiency Department, and several community volunteers not affiliated with an agency.
