Ian Stanley, from LGBTQ Connection Napa/Sonoma, led an information session with OLE Health employees. He spoke on developing and fostering a vibrant community while increasing inclusion and well-being for LGBTQ people across Napa Valley.
The information session was a culmination of a 3 month project earlier this year called the “OLEcommUNITY Project”, which launched an online survey that asked important questions about the unique health needs of the LGBTQ community.
Using the survey information, OLE Health is now able to educate and inform staff on best practices for providing care that reflects the needs of this population under the direction and counsel of Ian Stanley and LGBTQ Connection.
With an estimated 11,000 LGBTQ people living in Napa County, many of whom feel disconnected and invisible, OLE Health strives to provide the highest quality health care to all members of our community.
