On April 16th, OLE Health participated in Napa Homeless Connect, a day of pampering and services for the homeless community, which was held on April 16th at Crosswalk Community Church. The day included haircuts, facials, waxing services and chair massages, breakfast, lunch and coffee catered by local restaurants, check-ups and vaccines for pets, care packages bursting with necessary items plus fun live music.
Over a dozen non-profits/organizations were available to assist our homeless neighbors with necessary services.
OLE Health provided 41 health screenings, 8 referrals for follow-up including dental and nutrition services and scheduled 23 additional appointments to ensure continuity of care for Napa’s most vulnerable populations.
“The feedback has been great. Many of these folks have not seen a doctor in years. It’s important that we help them establish care and learn what we can do to help people get back on their feet” said Fernando Diaz, Director of Marketing and Communications for OLE Health.
OLE Health Staff will be following-up with those who scheduled appointments and provide access to a wide-range of care options such as dental, behavioral health, adult medicine, pediatrics and nutrition.
