Covered California Updates

Covered CA Open Enrollment Closes January 31st

At OLE Health we strive to educate all our patients regarding health insurance coverage.  There are many options available, and our Patient Services Department would like to extend an invitation to meet with a Certified Enrollment Counselor (CEC) and go over health insurance options and resources available to you.

There is a CEC available to speak with you Monday-Friday at our different health centers.  To schedule an appointment please call our Patient Services Department at 707-254-1777 or you can go to any of our health centers and ask our front office staff to help you schedule an appointment.

As the deadline approach to enroll into a Covered Ca health plan, we want to remind you that there are “OPEN ENROLLMENT” opportunities during the year, when a qualifying life event happens (birth of a child, change in immigration status, loss of employer coverage, etc), when an individual or family are able to make changes to their plans or enroll in a new health plan. Also, Medi-Cal enrollment happens all year long!

If you are enrolled in a Covered California Health Plan, or considering enrolling, please review this important information:

• Covered California is open for business; OLE Health Certified Enrollment Counselors are happy to help you enroll or renew.

• Your Covered California coverage is not in jeopardy. We encourage you to renew into your existing plan or shop for a new plan that best fits you and your family. Don’t risk a financial burden in 2017 by not enrolling.

• We understand there may be a lot of chatter in the media about the election, but here are three things you need to know:
1. Your coverage will remain intact for 2017 and the foreseeable future.
2. Your financial assistance (subsidies, APTC/CSR, small business tax credits) are protected under the law.
3. The rates for 2017 will not change.

• Covered California is focused on what’s important right now, enrolling and renewing consumers into their Covered California plan.

• Covered California does not rely on federal funding, it is a self-sustainable state-run exchange.

• We will keep you informed about any changes in the future
