POSITION TITLE: LACTATION COUNSELOR (IBCLC) YOLO
DEPARTMENT: CPSP
REPORTS TO TITLE: ​Associate Director of Perinatal Services
Location: All Yolo County Sites and Sutter Davis Hospital
PAY RANGE: $39.33 to $48.07 hourly
SCHEDULE: Part Time: 16 to 20 hours/week
JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW: CommuniCare+Ole Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing comprehensive, patient-centered perinatal, primary care services including medical, dental, substance abuse treatment, behavioral health, and outreach services to low income, multicultural, uninsured, and underinsured patients in Yolo County and the surrounding community. Services are provided at three clinic sites and may also include Sutter Davis Hospital. The IBCLC works as part of a multidisciplinary team including community health workers, nutritionists, social workers, physicians, midwives, and other staff.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/TRAINING (state required or preferred)

  1. Education: 
Current status as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
  1. Experience/Lived Experience: 
Minimum of one-year IBCLC experience. Experience working in a clinic setting and a demonstrated commitment to comprehensive care for underserved communities. Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
  1. Special Skills/Training: 
Bilingual Spanish preferred. Ability to operate all equipment used in Clinic sites and in hospital practice. Demonstrated ability to adequately perform lactation counseling skills and staff mentoring
