Established in 2023, CommuniCare+OLE is the result of a union of two health centers with a deep roots in their respective communities and reputations for providing high-quality primary care to all, regardless of insurance or ability to pay: OLE Health of Napa and Solano Counties and CommuniCare Health Centers of Yolo County. Building on a legacy established by both organizations in 1972, CommuniCare+OLE is a network of federally-qualified health centers with 17 sites across Napa, Solano, and Yolo Counties. JOB SUMMARY: The Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program Supervisor is responsible for operational oversight of care to all patients who receive services from Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) at CommuniCare+OLE. Works collaboratively with a health care team, including, but not limited to, midwives, obstetricians, primary care providers, registered nurses, nutritionists, social workers, medical assistants, health educators, behavioral health specialists, and other support staff. This position is responsible for coordinating efforts with community members, including, but not limited to Planned Parenthood, St Joseph’s Health, North Bay Hospital, and Public Health Nursing.

Knowledge on the content and use of the CPSP Protocol Manual, Steps-To-Take Manual, and the CPSP Provider Handbook |

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
Supervises work and performance of CPSP clinic staff |
Leads the recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of clinical support staff |
Continuously improves efficient and quality services by addressing issues with clinic scheduling, patient wait times, and other areas of concern |
Helps ensure CPSP staff competency, promote staff development, evaluate training needs and coordinates appropriate training |
Develops strategies to continuously improve patient experience and rates of retention |
Collaborates with all CommuniCare+OLE departments to develop expanded services within the organization. Collaborates with community organizations to improve care for our shared patient population |
Collaborates with Information Technology to increase efficiency of the electronic health record and improve internal workflows |
Leads expansion of CPSP services in the Napa Valley and surrounding areas |
Educates and promotes CPSP services to CommuniCare+OLE and the surrounding community |
Continuously works to improve services provided by CPHW’s, including counseling, contraception counseling, prenatal and lactations counseling, and nutrition health education |
Develops and oversees the program’s operating budget. Optimizes CPSP reimbursement and recommends optimal use and cost-efficiency of existing resources |
Oversees and ensures timely ordering of needed program supplies, equipment and other materials.
Identifies and apply for grant and other funding opportunities |
Serves as the first point of contact for all CPSP-related patient and staff grievances |
Ensures all CPSP patient materials are accurate, current and available in the language requested |
Performs routine quality assurance evaluations regarding efficiency and quality of work, productivity targets and patient satisfaction goals |
Collaborates with the Data Analytics Department to produce CPSP reports, and shares the data with CommuniCare+OLE leadership and direct reports |
Keeps up to date with federal and state CPSP rules, regulations and practice management guidelines.
Aligns program trainings and materials accordingly with updated guidelines |
Ensures compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies and prepare for any program audits |
Assists with grant proposals and reporting |
Maintains a commitment to excellence and high standards, excellent written and oral skills, strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills |
Performs other program duties as required to offer high quality, accessible perinatal services as assigned by the Director of Women’s Health |
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Certified Nurse Midwife, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who provides prenatal care and has direct experience working with CPSP.
- Experience working in a clinic setting and a demonstrated commitment to comprehensive care for low-income women required.
- Experience leading a team in a clinical setting.
- Experience managing a budget.
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinic or medical office operations.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and is proficient in both Spanish and English required; Proven strong interpersonal skills and the ability to understand and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Computer skills including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).
- Must have flexibility and willingness to work with changing priorities and have acute attention to detail.
