Did you know that the condition of your teeth and gums can affect the rest of your body? Poor oral health is linked to chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Regular dental care is also important during pregnancy. Dentists are even able to spot certain diseases and cancers early on. So, seeing a dentist regularly doesn’t just give you a nice smile — it can save your life!
How often should you see the dentist?
It is recommended that you come in for an exam and cleaning twice a year. However, even seeing the dentist just once a year can make a big difference. A child should have their first appointment before they turn one or when the first tooth comes in, whichever happens first.
OLE Health offers preventive and basic restorative dental care. We can refer patients to other providers for more extensive work or procedures we do not offer.
